Watches Docker Hub for newer semver tags on required fromchat/* images.
When a newer shared tag exists for every required image of the selected components, it rewrites those tags in compose.yml, runs docker compose pull, and restarts the stack.

No GitHub/Gitea token is needed (public Hub API).

Environment

Variable	Where	Description
COMPOSE_PROJECT_DIR	updater/.env	Host path to the stack (compose.yml parent)
FROMCHAT_COMPONENTS	updater/.env	Comma list: backend,frontend,caddy
CHECK_INTERVAL_SECONDS	updater/.env	Poll interval (default 60)
DOCKERHUB_NAMESPACE	updater/.env	Hub namespace (default fromchat)

Images per component

Component	Images (must share a ready tag)
backend	backend, messaging, file_storage, postgres, livekit
frontend	web
caddy	caddy, haproxy

updater in the component list is ignored.

Run standalone

cd ~/fromchat-server/updater
cp .env.example .env   # set COMPOSE_PROJECT_DIR
docker compose --env-file .env up -d --build

The container mounts ${COMPOSE_PROJECT_DIR}/compose.yml and /var/run/docker.sock.

Or include the updater in classic deploy (deployment/deploy.sh … --components …,updater).
